Why Didn't I Think Of That?

My son and I were in the local Mall a couple days ago and he made a hasty beeline
for the EB Games store to check out the latest "games" for his gadgets. The wife
calls all electronic devices "gadgets". PS2, X-Box, Wii are all categorized as gadgets.

On the way to the Mall, I always swing though Tim Horton's and get a large cup of
that addictive coffee they sell. Can't do without my "Tims".

On the way out of the Mall, my son noticed something and went over to investigate.
"Dad! Come over you have to see this!" Standing next to him he was pointing at a
box of key chains with a rubber gizmo attached to them. "Very nice Thomas, let's go."
He urged me to have another look at them and when I picked one up and looked
at the box it came out of. "Holy Mackerel! Why didn't I thing of that!"

Usually, twice a year Tim Horton's runs a contest called "Roll Up The Rim" and when
you roll up the rim on your coffee cup you could win a prize ranging from a free coffee
to a new car or truck. I myself and others have trouble getting that rim to roll up
on the disposable cups and nearly impossible to do when you are driving.

This is where this key chain "rig" comes in. It is a brown rubber molded rim lifter
with ridges for your thumb to grip for "max" leveraging power. It has a slotted end
and just fits over the rim of the cup from the top and bending it towards the center
of the cup lifts the rim!

Ingenuous! So simple! Millions of Canadians are rolling those blasted rims everyday
when the contests are on and nobody has thought about "a lifter" until now. They sell
for $2.95 Canadian and the box was half empty. There was one less when I left the Mall.

There you go...when it comes to a niche online you need to put your thinking caps
on and come up with a site with a product or literature that people respond to
and say "Hey, that's just what I needed", "That's what I have been looking for", or
"This is better than anything I have looked at before."
