Threats And Closure

I got a surprise this morning when I logged into my Gmail account and seen a payment
from SolidTurstPay. I opened it up and was a payment from the Admin of In10CitySurf
which my last article was about.

Turned out to be a refund. Then an update that they are closing due to harassing and
threatening emails. Man! From a good assortment of plans, to a backup plan and then
to no plan at all. My first thoughts..."What? Just delete the messages and carry on" but
then some are not so tolerant of junk mail as I am. On the other hand could be a threat
of a sustained DDoS attack and that would cost money which would mean an extra monthly
expense to pay the Host.

Tough for a program that just launched. PremiumAdsClub just surfaced recently from a week
long debacle with their "old" Host. Just as an inquiry, I asked my Host how much would the
cost be for premium DDoS protection. I almost chocked on my coffee when the reply came
back. After initial setup cost...$1600 a month. Cough, cough...Hack! Holy mackerel!....just to
keep some goons off my back....$1600 a month!

Now.. I don't know if this caused the closure of 10 City. Just speculating but now you have an
inkling of what an Admin....specially an honest Admin, who wants to keep his program afloat,
has to put up with. Maybe....blackmail. Is it easier just to pay this joker off or is it just the beginning
of a long drawn affair of "pay me or else".

How do I know so much about all this "dark" side of running a biz online. Lets say I have already
experienced it and have read enough to know what goes on behind the Homepage of a program.
Anyway...the good news is, if you can call it that, the married Admin team mentioned making
a comeback....I assume under an alias but stated they'll drop their "honest" approach and return
more "prepared".

Enjoy your blog. Please inform us all about private HYIPs. IS there a list?
Why go private and shut off new investment? How successful are these private hyips? Payout performance?
Length of time in full operation? are there waiting lists if they open up to public. What are best ones ?
Educate us all Thanks Bob Lee

    Bob,

Thanks...probably get me in trouble someday with the "people" I mentioned
in this article. They have a long reach, money and influence. Private HYIPs...
I haven't had much success with these, although there are a few out there and still
deciding whether to join them. A recent one I got out of after requesting my refund
and receiveing it, is in a real mess. Lot of people tied up with that one and won't
mention the name of the program here. But the troubles have already leaked
    out into public Forums.

I seen the problems coming and bailed before payouts stopped all together.

Others are covering their dealings either offshore or shored up as legally as
possible to avoid scrutiny by the US government and avoid seizure of funds.

    High risk indeed.

So...to answer your questions...I am not an authority on the subject because I
haven't been a member of one that lasted yet. I do know that without any new
"blood" or new funds coming it's all up to the Admin(s) to make it happen
via their ivests whether it be Forex or others. Any losses there will quickly
compound and the members will feel the effects of it by first delayed, partial
or "rolling up" of pending cashouts.

Private low ROI surfs are bird of another color and are relatively safe with an
average program running 2 years or so.

It boggles my mind sometimes how this "biz" works. Seems the honest ones are always targeted at some point, especially when what they offer, or try to offer the public is a decent program that pays. It almost appears that one must become anonymous and inflate the truth to get anywhere with their own program's success. You know the saying: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Guess it kind of holds some water...

Thank you for your continued enlightenment. I look forward to it every day.

    Cheers,
    Pete

    Pete,

Thank you. Seems partial ot total tansparency, which everyone wants to see,
makes an Admin a target these days.
