The Down Side Of Handing Out Bonuses
Surfs that offer Bonus Adpacks get the majority of the publicity of course.
Offering a 100% match to your purchase of upgrades looks good in the
backoffice. When these events occur, I get a flurry of emails in my inbox
letting me know about the promotion.
Personally...it doesn't do much for me because I know after a few days
when the program launches, the bottom is going to fall out of the ROI or
daily rebate. The Admin managed to bring in a lot of people and a large
cash investment but now comes time to pay out and by giving everyone
matching adpacks...he or she has to payout twice the amount of funds
daily or weekly to make up for the Adpacks added to member's accounts
that are free.
This will eventually eat a large hole into that cash pool destined for members.
Let's take Ad Gate World for example...I joined that program in pre-launch but
never did upgrade until recently when it changed to a similar plan to AV4U.
Hey! Who isn't....if it works, why fight it...convert and people will turn their heads
and come over wanting to add to the money they are making with Steve's
Ad Ventures 4U.
Ad Gate World's first week is over with the new plan and as I expected, the rebate
payout for the previous week is low and an explanation followed that bonuses
given out before are the problem. I am sure Tame The Net, which took off like a
house on fire, suffered the same fate from an initial couple weeks giving away
bonuses to members.
Eventually...the Admin will have to pick up the slack and reach into his own pocket
to come with funds to make up for the bonus promotion. If not...no other choice but
to shut down if he wants to walk away with some funds in the processors to call his
own.
Ad Gate World Admin has taken another course and is doubling up on paying out
these bonuses to get rid of that burden and once gone, the weekly rebate should
climb and at least match the clones of AV4U that are around 14 to 15% per week.
