The Pros and Cons of Internet Marketing Social Sites
We all know the biggies when it comes to social sites right? Facebook is
just exploding where even offline companies are now in there pushing their
stuff and from a recent article, it's approaching 1 billion in revenue since it's
start by a college dude in his room. Some 2 million Canadians joined in
the last couple months alone.
Then there is Twitter another favorite of the masses. These two social sites
just have that attraction factor like bees to honey.
No me...I get carried away sometimes with friends and team mates on a couple
of the Team build chats I'm in. A mix of fun and business but to be on a social
site constantly...I haven't got the time for that.

Let's move on to social sites with compensation plans geared exclusively for
Internet Marketers pushing their opportunities. I heard a bit about this in the
past and recently got involved with BreezyBuzz and upgraded to Gold.
Hey! If I can make some money while I'm mainly blogging there like I do here...
it's all good... right! Ok guys...you know I tell it like it is and in doing that end up
shooting myself in the foot when it comes to people joining in my downline
or my downline making purchases which makes me a percentage of that
in referral commissions.
From my experience...there is a constant posting by members about their
opportunities with rare interaction between anybody to create a discussion.
You get points by posting and some are posting 10 or 12 times in a row
of useless chatter to increase their ranking and points which entitles an
ungraded member to more money. After a month your point total is zeroed
out and it starts all over again.
After two weeks...I knew I was getting nowhere with this...first pay...a few cents.
So..you have to be good at recruiting, relentless and have a huge list just to bring
upgraded people into Breezy itself. Then there's the constant posting about the
next paying social site luring people away. Reminds me of Matrix programs where
it's on fire for the first week and then people are looking at the next launch, never
getting anywhere.
So...I tried it out, knew within the first few days I just threw $18 out the window
and will depart from that arena. I'll stick with my ol' Blog here and what I was
doing before. Only way to try out these type things is to get involved and have
a look around...experience it. Either you like it and it's working for you or it isn't.
Now...on the pro or plus side, I have seen some new people signing up to my
programs and who are also doing the "experience it" thing. I'm not 100% sure
but I'm thinking they are coming from Breezy so that end of it works but still not
worth $18 a month to me and if not upgraded you lose some tools there like the
blogging option which is what I utilize the most.
In conclusion..these social sites are not for me but my imaginary online, 6 foot
300 pound buddy, Bubba, that I referred to in past articles and used in examples,
might love it and go full boar into it. Make room...Bubba is in the house and he
means business...lol

I know how it was when I joined Swom.I was bombarded with messages to upgrade to gold and was nearly threatened before I deleted my account there from annoyed Goldmembers who complained to their admin for the reason I didn´t upgrade there. You know Gord that I am making money elsewhere and especially on my fundshares but I don´t like being "pushed" to the extremes that way in a network. And their only way to make money there is to force others to upgrade to gold.I will never join that social network again.I am amazed that they can´t design better and more sound models.
Hi Mattias,
Thank you for your comment. Exactly what I was trying to get across in my article.
I also found in my experience that it was a "cold" atmosphere. Join my program
and then we'll talk sort of thing. But yes..in the end the owner/designer of these
site are trying to capitilaze on the popularity of socials like Facebook and Twitter,
with their compensation plans.
