Making Money and Saving Money Online

I make money or "earn" money online but rarely use the internet to save myself
some money offline. That changed "big time" yesterday.

I own a Hyundia Elantra..a mid size sedan and a common problem I found out
by doing some research and reading online is that there is an issue with the
input/output speed sensor in the transmissions of these vehicles. Not only with
the Elantra but other models as well. This usually  occurs when the vehicle has
a good number of kilometers on it. I put on about 40,000 kilometers a year.

With me... 99% of the time a problem is something you won't find in the vehicle's
owners manual. Frustrating for sure and it normally comes down to shelling
out hard earned money for a "fix".

With a fault in one or both speed sensors...the automatic transmission will shift
down into a low gear and stay there until you shutoff the vehicle and restart. Usually
replaced in pairs...around $550 at the dealer. Holy! That's quite a dent in the ol'
bank account and just for two small sensors. Anyway..as luck would have it...a friend
of mine had an identical problem..his output sensor was toast and my "input" sensor
was faulty.

Doing the basic starting "Google" search thing...he found the two new sensors on ebay
for $66 and ordered them. He gave me his "input" sensor which was "good". Now...
does anybody know where the input sensor is located on the automatic transmission
of a Hyundai Elantra? After more Google(ing) and reading, I found an actual Forum where
I discovered step by step instructions/pictures highlighted with arrows and tooling sizes
for changing this sensor. Euruka! What a find..I was totally blown away and amazed at the
work of this Forum "poster" to add so much detail to his thread...all the individual picture
URL's, actual socket sizes, etc... helping out his fellow Saturday Mechanics.

Anyway...an hour and half later, I had the sensor swapped out following these detailed
instructions, probably saving me an hour or two of labour costs in a garage at about
$60 an hour...the standard rate around here..some are upwards of $80 an hour. Figuring
in the "offline" cost of the two new sensors at the dealer and two hours labour...$670 saved
and that's not including taxes.

You have to think that the owners of garages and dealer maintenance shops are certainly
blaming the internet for lost revenue these days.

The Car...most everybody has one and can become a real money pit at times. A good idea
if you have to take it to the shop and the mechanic tells you this is wrong and this is what
you need to fix it...check with the internet first before giving him, or her, the go ahead.

The "web" could save you a pile of money.

Turning to "making" money online....GrapeVineFunds is still issuing 10% matching bonuses
on spends of $20 or more in one of it's daily, weekly or monthly plans. The Admin's target
number is 100 and there are less than 70 bonuses left. I got paid there quickly yesterday
after my first withdrawal request and look forward to a long "run" with this program.
